Cologne International Videoart Festival (Germany) forms
part of the Cologne based media art platform Cologne Art & Moving Images
Awards - run by artvideoKOELN, directed by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne
– and covers a wide range of aspects and activities focused on "art &
moving images". Its nomadic festival project "CologneOFF 20XX - videoart
in a global context" exports outstanding festival programs for screening
and exhibition in the finest venues throughout the world.
GLAMIA - Global Art & Moving Images Awards
GLAMIA is an international networking project initiated
by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne in order to intensify collaboration with
partner festivals and curators and establish new cooperative alliances
by creating shared traveling screening programs, organizing open
gatherings like the symposium in Cusco and Lima in 2013, and encouraging
exchange on many levels.
Manipulated Image, an artist-driven project, is based in
Los Angeles, California, with international collaborations. Artist and
curator Alysse Stepanian features video art and multimedia events by
international artists. Past events have featured diverse works within
contexts that have allowed fresh discoveries about the possibilities of
video art as a creative medium.
Now & After International Video Art Festival , Russia
International Video Art Festival "Now&After" is organized and promoted by an independent non-profit organization Media Art Centre "Now&After" directed by Marina Fomenko. It pursues activity in the field of culture, development of domestic interregional and international communications in the media art sphere. International Video Art Festival "Now&After" is an annual event in Moscow, Russia. "Now&After" focuses on the presentation, development and promotion both Russian and international video art, getting together emerging and established artists from around the world to present their works to general audience.
International video art festival held in Spain, Italy and
Portugal, including the participation of artists, curators and other
festivals from many countries. It presents video installations
(single-channel, multi-channel, interactive), interventions, public
screenings, performances and talks.
VisualContainer Italian videoart Distributor is one of
the most important videoart platforms in Italy (a non-profit
association based in Milan since 2008). It operates as a collection,
investigation, promotion and distribution center both within Italy and
abroad, and also manages the VisualcontainerTV international videoart
webTV and [.BOX] Videoart project space, based in Milan.
VisualcontainerTV International Videoart webTV. Since
2009 VisualContainerTv has screened contemporary videoart world in real
time, making it available to both enthusiasts and professional audience
through special monthly online exhibitions. The webTV is entirely
devoted to the international videoart world and overseen by specially
invited curators and festival directors.
[.BOX] project is a videoart space based in Milan, Italy,
and since 2010 it has been cooperating with the most interesting
videoart organizations from all over the world. During recent years it
has hosted international videoart festivals, as well as contemporary art
and videoart projects from independent curators, invited by
Mestizo Arts Festival (MAF)
The Mestizo Arts Festival (MAF), held in Antwerp, Belgium
and produced by Fiëbre vzw, develops multidisciplinary work focused on
the city as a meeting place. Since 2007 it has included in its program
theater, dance, music, literature and film activities, as well as a
platform to support young artists and experimental art productions. Each
year MAF offers a specific theme.
To celebrate 50 years of videoart, Magmart | video under
volcano (Italy) is organizing the videoart project 100x100=900 (100
video artists to recount the history of a century). The project is based
on the idea that, in order for humanity to progress, it is necessary to
identify which elements of the past need to be archived for all time.
100 video artists from all over the world are invited to narrate the
history of a century, with each of them interpreting a different year.
El Reservorio is a project focused on the production and
promotion of new art initiatives in the context of moving images. It
promotes video creation both as an art tool and as a communication
medium. Its participants are students and graduates of the National
School of Fine Arts of Lima: Carol Bustamante, Jorge Meléndez, Jim
Marcelo (Jimbo) and Hernán Espinoza.
